NOW MAGAZINE REVIEW: SATURDAY MATINEE THE CAMERON FAMILY SINGERS (CAMFAM) Rating: NNNN It's hard to believe it's been eight years since the Cameron Family Singers began playing their favourite old-school country tunes in the front room of the Cameron House, and even more amazing that it's taken them this long to release their first album. Their swank Saturday Matinee was worth the wait. The Dale Morningstar-recorded set, cut live off the floor with minimal overdubs, creates an intimate feeling of the Cam Fam crew playing in your living room. Best of all, their original tunes stand up remarkably well alongside crowd-pleasing Hank Williams and Dolly Parton numbers. Right on.
